This was set up as a welcome to the reception of Heather and Chris. The theme of the reception and wedding was "the beach"...

It was a great way to greet the guests nad set a mood for the reception.

Lets share some images and ideas!!! I love the above image. The textured Black and White adds a sense of dynamic to the image!!!

The plan for the wedding was to do this ceremony outside, but as you may know, the weather in Western PA has been nothing short of a monsoon this fall, or so it seems. The actual ceremony was moved to the Justice Of The Peace offices in Ford City. In an adjoining room, there are benches with cuffs for those who are arrested to wait for the magistrate....so we used them!!!!

Understand the following:

I asked before the ceremony if it was OK to do this. Different officiants have different rules on how weddings are to be done that they handle. They are marrying you....it's their rules!

It has to be you! You shoudn't do things with your images that don't fit your style just for the shot....you will regret it later!!!

There is also an image of the groom in the "chair" as well that is in the images we did.

This is a matter of using the surroundings to your advantage. I saw this setup and just had to work it in somehow!!!

Wedding ideas!

The wedding I did this last weekend had some good ideas to pass on to you all if you're planing a wedding!

The ceremony had a sand pour, which is getting to be a big deal with brides, and in many cases, is replacing the unity candle of a number of years ago. Where this gets interesting is that the groom has three boys and they all form a great family! The boys each had their own vial of sand and actually even picked the color they wanted to add to the main jar! A sweet way to include them and to have them understand they are a part of the new family! Love this idea!
